New name, same expertise
In the last 10-15 years we have successfully developed and commercialized various innovative functional ingredients based on the side streams and crops within Cosun. We aim to continue this 100% natural trend into the future. Last year Cosun changed its strategy in which plants have a leading role. In line with this we also reshaped our strategy and identity, which led to a new name: Cosun Biobased Products becomes Cosun Beet Company – Biobased Experts.
Leading biobased expertise
Our aim was and still is that our biobased ingredients help you satisfy your customers' demands in a rapidly changing world. They'll also help you cut costs, improve your products' performance, and prove even more convenient than the traditional oil-based products you're perhaps more familiar with.
But we can't achieve this alone – we collaborate closely with industry, scientists, distributors, and, above all, our clients. We listen. We learn. We innovate. Not surprisingly, research & development plays a vital role at Cosun Beet Company – Biobased Experts, and we're incredibly proud of our R&D facilities at the Cosun innovation center in Dinteloord, The Netherlands.
At Biobased Experts we are a small, entrepreneurial, flexible team that thrives with the support, know how and facilities available within the total company. This heritage is a great asset to support biobased innovations for our customers and business partners.
Part of Cosun Beet Company
Cosun Beet Company – Biobased Experts is a brand belonging to Cosun Beet Company, a subsidiary of Royal Cosun. The strategy of Cosun Beet Company goes far beyond sugar and is based on the ambition to be the greenest, most innovative, and most successful sugar beet processor. Its key focus is sustainability, innovation, and an awareness of the world around us. Based on the crop sugar beet many products can be derived such as food products, animal feed, protein from sugar beet leaves, biobased household products, ingredients for cosmetics – including vegan cosmetics – and green energy. We call it Bright Beet Solutions.
Royal Cosun is a farmers cooperative, born and bred in the Netherlands but active across the globe for more than a century. At Royal Cosun we recognize the enormous potential of plants and we know how to turn them into practical solutions to everyday problems. We produce not only plant based ingredients and foodstuffs for people and animals, but also green, biobased functional ingredients and energy. Today, Royal Cosun employs almost four thousand people, all of whom are dedicated to providing high-quality products for our customers.
We are proud to be part of this powerful cooperative that strives for a better world and acts accordingly.
