Cosun Beet Company - Biobased Experts hands over check to Water for Life
On December 2nd 2020, Cosun Beet Company - Biobased Experts presented a digital cheque to Water for Life. During an online meeting Gerald van Engelen, General Manager Cosun Beet Company- Biobased Experts, presented this cheque of € 2,500 to Marco Schouten, director of Water for Life.
Cosun is a Dutch cooperation and exists for 120 years. They believe in sustainability and making social impact. Cosun Beet Company - Biobased Experts passionately believes in creating value from crops and has been committed - for more than a decade - to the production of biobased multifunctional ingredients. They use 100% vegetable waste to produce the ingredients used in cleaning, personal care and water treatment products, as well as many other industrial applications. The employees of Cosun Beet Company - Biobased Experts know the importance of making social impact and the importance of clean water. They know better than anyone how important it is to make a difference.
Water for Life, together with local water companies, sets up projects to give people in poor neighborhoods in Africa and Asia access to drinking water and sanitation. Worldwide there are still millions of people who do not have access to clean tap water. With this contribution from Cosun Beet Company - Biobased Experts, we are one step closer to realizing drinking water and a toilet for everyone worldwide. The contribution is used for the construction of new water pipes, water points or toilets in poor neighborhoods.
